The Venice Film Festival has come to an end with awards to Latin-American films. That’s right – for the first time in history, a Venezuelan movie, DESDE ALLA by Lorenzo Vigas, has been awarded the Golden Lion, while argentine Pablo Trapero has been crowned as Best Director of the Mostra for his movie EL CLAN.
In the Orizzonti section, where I was part of the Jury, FREE INDEED by director Jake Mahaffy and CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER by Brady Corbet have achieved the Best Film and Best Direction awards.
During 11 days, between full-length feature films and shorts, I got to watch 39 different stories from every corner of the world. A very rewarding experience, which helped me grow as an actress and a film lover.
I’d like to name the members of the Jury with whom I have had the immense pleasure of sharing these film days.
French director Alix Delaporte, the gorgeous Anita Caprioli, director Fruit Chan and master Jonathan Demme..
It’s been a privilege and an honor being a part of this great team…
I hope you get a chance to see all these movies…
I promise you’ll love them..
Thank you Venice!!
See you next year 😉
